Mundus Terrae, a farmhouse in the heart of Sicily,
stands on 7 hectares of typical Mediterranean countryside on which
the main house and its annexes rest.
Located 20 minutes from the cities of Noto and Syracuse, two historical giants
classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Very near from the Cavagrande del Cassibile Reserve ...
To a short distance from the crystalline sea of the Vendicari wildlife oasis and just few kilometers
from the village of Canicattini Bagni.
The current owners, a Franco-Italian couple who manages the company themselves,
have given life to an intimate and warm refuge, with splendid views over the bay of Syracuse,
the surrounding citrus and olive groves.
Lying on the soft plains of south-eastern Sicily, the ancient Mundus Terrae barn
is suspended at the crossroads between history and nature.
In the center of the Val di Noto, between famous tourist destinations such as
Syracuse, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, it is an oasis in which to find intact
that authentic stillness able to offer serenity and solitude that are increasingly rare today.
Mundus Terrae is also the ideal place for long walks and relax...
Located a stone's throw from the rooms, the pool area with fitness corner allows you to regenerate
by offering a panoramic view on Syracuse and spectacular sunsets,
accompanied with an aperitif sipped in the warm evening light.
Of great interest is the presence of the necropolis of Cozzo Guardiole,
excavated in the rock and installed on a previous pre-Hellenic necropolis where
one can observe bell-shaped pits, arcosolium tombs, and no less than six small catacombs.
It is the most important site in the area dating back to the early Christian era dated from
the 5th to the 7th century AD. The visits are free and open.
